Nur Ferrante Morales is currently working as English instructor and languages coordinator at CUID-UNED in Ávila. She is also a professional translator specialised in medicine, social sciences and the humanities at www.artofdiversity.org. She is the translator of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Beowulf, which was published by Minotauro in 2015. She teaches English at the academy Cool Planet in Ávila, which is focused on children and the development of bilingual competencies.
She is currently finishing her MA in Professional Translation at UIMP. In addition, Nur is a professional physiotherapist specialised in neurology, who has been working since 1999 in her private practice. Her passion for languages and affective neuroscience have made her focus her English classes on the development of English oral skills through performance and improvisation and the use of emotions as fundamental tool for second language acquisition. This interest has brought her to the EMO-FUNDETT project and has sparkled her wish to participate in whatever way possible. |
