David Ferrer Revull is currently a PhD student in English Linguistics at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED). In 2012 he completed his B.A. in English at UNED with an Award for Excellence in Academic Performance. He holds a Master's degree in Applied English Linguistics from UNED, his master's thesis consisting in a discursive-pragmatic analysis of Jerzy Kosinki's novel Being There. From 2013 to 2015 he worked as a tutor for students of English at the UNED branch in Barcelona. In March 2015 he was granted a predoctoral scholarship from the Spanish Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad for him to develop his current PhD studies within the EMO-FunDETT project. He has also completed a Master's degree in Education. His main areas of interest include Discourse Analysis, Pragmatics and Humour Studies.
